Sunday 17th June 1928 - Anstie Grange, Surrey
I've had two lovely peaceful days here at Anstie with Father. Today we went over the kennels which he has had built on the land he bought for the Surrey Union Hunt. There are some very good hounds there in splendid condition. Farmer, the huntsma, is rightly proud of them.
Some are going to Aldershot for the show. Father has improved the pack out of all knowledge since he became Master of the Hunt. Farmer burst into praise for him all the way from the kennels to the car. I agreed with every word he said, but found it almost embarrassing.
